You will join several multidisciplinary teams in managing various funds for Dutch ministries. Under the guidance of a Senior F&C Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the F&C team, a close-knit group with a strong sense of teamwork.

As Finance & Control (F&C) Manager, you will belong to a team of professionals who undertake large, complex, high-impact projects for the Dutch central government. You will be part of our Public Sector group, which also includes the Project & Programme Management (PPM) team. PPM manages several challenging public funds and complex programmes for various ministries, including damage compensation schemes and investment and funding programmes,  helping central government to achieve its policy objectives in this way. To ensure that these programmes are carried out to a high standard, it is essential to have a fully professional F&C team. As team manager, you will be in charge of everyday team supervision and ensure that the F&C processes are implemented to an exacting standard.

Who are you?
You are an ambitious and experienced professional in the field of F&C and have an affinity with the public sector. You want to improve yourself, share what you know, expand your network and get the most out of yourself and your colleagues. In short, you’re ready for your next career challenge.

  • You have a university degree (in business economics or business administration). Preference will be given to candidates who have a qualification in accountancy: Registered Public Accountant (RA), Registered Operational Auditor (RO), Registered EDP Auditor (RE), Certified Public Controller (CPC) or Registered Controller (RC).
  • You have 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • You have proven broad experience in the F&C field in such areas as process optimisation, internal control, performance & cost management, planning and control cycle, liquidity management, management reporting and regulatory reporting.
  • You have strong analytical and communication skills.
  • You are a team player with a pro-active and results-driven attitude.
  • You are able to inspire and motivate others and you enjoy helping them in their professional development.
  • You are capable of building and maintaining lasting relationships of trust.
  • You believe in acting with integrity and take responsibility for doing so.
  • You are interested in trends in your field and have the drive to make a difference with your team.

What does the job involve?
You will join several multidisciplinary teams in managing various funds for Dutch ministries. Under the guidance of a Senior F&C Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the F&C team, a close-knit group with a strong sense of teamwork. You will work with your team to deliver process optimisations, liquidity management and compliance. You draw up annual reports and annual accounts, close out each quarter, and manage liquidity and the payment cycle. You will also help develop and implement new funds and programmes.
