Your challenge

As a Controls & MI Officer, you work with the Controls and MI Manager (Europe) to set strategy for future of function, ensuring that current and future business requirements of AAM Europe will be properly supported. You seek to find ways to add value to investment performance. You deliver a robust and reliable service to the AAM Europe investment organization covering all asset classes, ensuring appropriate service level standards are met and strong controls are in place at all times. As a Controls & MI Officer, you work closely with the Vendor Management organization to manage key relationships with 3rd party vendors and suppliers, especially business process outsource providers, ensuring there is focus on delivery of service, development of product and continuing value for money through commercial negotiation. You establish a culture to ensure compliance with regulatory and business process requirements, where all employees believe that their input is actively encouraged and valued. As a Controls & MI Officer, you adopt best practice methodologies including benchmarking, outsource oversight, project management, lean, agile and devops. You are responsible for supporting change within the team, ensuring that changes deliver on their objectives. Last but not least you provide support for AAM's TOM initiative.

Profile

As a Controls & MI Officer, you have strong customer focus and stakeholder management skill.  You excellent teamwork, interpersonal, organizational and relationship management skills.

Moreover, you have the following qualifications:

  • Academic level
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and financial instruments/ credible with investment management team. Professional qualifications in the area of investment operations desirable
  • Proven ability to understand business processes and issues, as well as being an excellent communicator and the ability to operate at all levels.
  • Graduate with successful track record of working at manager level in an investment management organization
  • Experience in working with outsourced service providers
